WATCH: “Burn The Mask” Rally At Idaho Capitol Building Draws Crowd

A planned “Burn The Mask” rally at the Idaho State Capitol on Saturday drew a crowd of approximately 150 people fighting for personal freedoms.

Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) has not issued a statewide mask mandate, but multiple cities and counties have, including Boise. The Governor does wear a mask and encourages citizens to take personal responsibility and do the same.

The rally crowd was made of both young and old, with many families in attendance.

Lieutenant Governor Janice McGeachin attended and spoke at the event in front of the state capitol.

There were no arrests made and organizers had permits, but the rally is “under review” because a fire was started, per the Idaho State Police. “During the event, an open flame was ignited in a barrel,” police said. “Those involved with the event were informed both before and during the event that open flames are not allowed on State Capitol grounds.”
